I am a London-based anthropologist and sociologist studying family, reproduction, and migration.

My interdisciplinary research explores experiences of marginalised and alternative families, and their lives in ‘at risk’ or hostile localities. It draws on sociology, anthropology, queer studies, and migration studies.

I received my PhD in Sociology and Social Anthropology from University College London (UCL). My dissertation explored how LGBTQ+ parents in Russia have children and raise them in an authoritarian and queerphobic context.

Currently, I teach at UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies. I am developing a new research project on neonatal intensive care in the UK. I am also available for freelance qualitative research projects, research assistance, and transciption.
